The Expedition

Me and the Wee Man shared an evening at Carsington yesterday evening as part of his birthday treat and on a lovely evening how could we fail. The picture above showed my boy looking ahead into a summers breeze with engine on full throttle, father and son set off on their great expedition. Fishing proved a little tuff with no evening rise but we managed a little action on bloodworm, enough for the boy to triumph anyway.

After landing this fine rainbow below I had to stop him eating it raw, and the smile on his face says it all really " I've caught one and Dad hasn't".  Brilliant night full of laughs and can't wait to do it again, especially taking him on the rivers, but he'll have to grow a little first.
