Guiding Service

My guiding services are now available to assist fly fishermen on both game and coarse rivers. I'd be happy to advise and arrange your special day anywhere from one of Derbyshires finest trout and grayling rivers to your own local coarse river. Email Mick Martin for details and options. Lethal Weapon

While out with our new EA Fisheries man today we stumbled across these hand lines below, our poacher friends make dozens of these and strategically place them on a good branch or wedge them inbetween concrete along canals. You will need a sharpe eye as they lean over the bank or camoflage these 6inch strips of plastic very well after throwing in the line with some bait on the hook.
At the end of the day they make the same journey checking each line in the hope of catching a fish to be taken for the pot, in more recent times poachers are likely to take most species considering them all edible.Sadly these dark arts are becoming common around all waters in the UK so keep em peeled. In the event of finding a series of these nasty lines report sap to the EA and hopefully they will catch the devil at his work and prosecute, otherwise run up behind him and push him in the river or canal (ah ah,wishful thinking).
